Loot in Debt Hunt has two jobs: move the debt objective forward and keep you capable of surviving long enough to convert that value. The official badge list names several tracked activities—taking photos, mining Mineral Ores, breaking Wooden Planks, digging up Treasures, opening Supply Boxes, and picking up a Gem. Those names form a trustworthy starting index, while exact item prices, rarity colors, spawn locations, and tool durability remain current-build checks.
Use the Items Index for a quick lookup of confirmed and community-reported entities. Open the Loot Tier List when you need a pickup decision. The Tools Guide explains access and utility choices, while the Camera Guide focuses on the officially confirmed photography progression.
Read loot by function, not by shine
A useful item can be saleable value, an access tool, a survival supply, a progression objective, or a piece of information. One object may fill more than one role, and its best use can change as the debt shrinks or sunset approaches. Do not compare every pickup by a single sale number.
Use five questions at the moment of pickup:
- Does the current UI show a value, use, or interaction?
- Can this item be converted before the safe return window closes?
- Does carrying it displace a tool or supply needed for the route?
- Is its source repeatable, or is this a lucky procedural spawn?
- Will the item still matter after the debt is paid?
If you cannot answer yet, keep the object only when space and time are comfortable. Unknown does not mean worthless; it means the route should not depend on it.

Separate an item index from a tier list
The Items Index answers “What is this, what activity is tied to it, and how confident is the record?” It should remain useful when prices change. It includes officially named categories and a cautious set of tool names reported by current walkthroughs, with unsupported fields left unset.
The tier list answers “What should I prioritize in this situation?” It ranks decisions rather than pretending one permanent order fits every seed. A nearby supply box may be a top choice early in daylight, while the same detour can be a bad choice after the return trigger. A tool can outrank saleable loot while it still opens a profitable branch, then fall below it after that branch is cleared.
Any tier that depends on a price, drop, durability value, or patch behavior must show its assumptions. The current pages rank by complete-cycle value, inventory pressure, and exposure—not by a copied number.
Carry tools only while they have a job
Current community guides consistently report tool concepts such as a pickaxe for ores, a breaking tool for planks, a digging tool for treasure, and a camera for photos. The official badges support the underlying interactions but do not publish the exact tool names or controls. Read the live prompt before acting.
Give every carried tool a remaining target. “This opens the plank-blocked branch on our return loop” is a job. “It might be useful somewhere” is not. Once the accessible targets are cleared, compare the tool’s continued utility with the space needed for value or survival supplies.
Do not sell, discard, or replace a tool based only on another player’s map. Procedural generation means their remaining branches may not match yours.
Use the camera as a system, not decoration
Master Photographer confirms that taking photos is tracked at large scale, so the camera is a real progression activity. The public badge does not state which subjects count, how photos are scored, how many can be stored, or how rewards are claimed. Those steps must come from current prompts or clearly dated gameplay.
Test the camera during daylight. Equip it, frame a subject the UI recognizes, take one image, and inspect any gallery, capacity, upload, sell, or reward feedback. Repeat with one changed variable—distance, framing, subject, or quality—before drawing conclusions. The Camera Guide gives a full controlled route.
Build a safe pickup loop
Start close to the spawn or base system shown by your server. Travel along one branch, collect only what you can identify or safely test, and turn inward before the light changes. Convert the haul, note which activities were repeatable, and then extend the same branch on the next cycle.
In co-op, split access tools rather than duplicating everything. Keep enough shared capacity for high-confidence finds and an emergency item. Announce when a tool is dropped or when a branch still requires it. In solo, bias toward multi-use tools and a shorter loop because no teammate can hold overflow.
If the map provides a rare or loud event, compare its distance with the debt pace and sunset margin before leaving the established route. The existence of the Gem badge does not make every Gem detour safe.
Loot mistakes to avoid
Treating carried value as paid value: return and convert before the hunt can erase the route.
Publishing a complete list from a partial run: call the index “currently documented” until the live game or an official source supports completeness.
Ranking by one lucky payout: record the date, difficulty, condition, and full route cost before calling something best.
Keeping every tool forever: reevaluate after each opened branch and before sunset.
Mixing the Roblox port with the original Minecraft concept: developer credit establishes lineage, not automatic mechanic parity.
Loot FAQ
Is there a complete official Debt Hunt item list?
No complete first-party item catalog was publicly accessible during the September 2 check. The index labels what is official, community corroborated, or still in need of an in-game check.
What should I pick up first?
Prioritize value or access already on a safe route. Nearby boxes, valid camera opportunities, and known tool interactions are better starting tests than a distant unknown signal.
Are exact sale values reliable?
Treat values from guides and videos as dated observations. Alpha balancing, item condition, market effects, or server changes may alter them.
Does every badge activity make money?
Not necessarily. A badge proves the action exists and is tracked, not how the economy rewards it.
