Debt Hunt Co-op Guide

Coordinate a Debt Hunt squad with route, time, value, and tool roles while confirming shared Cash, carry, and revive rules live.

Debt Hunt co-op works best when every player owns a visible job: route, time, value, or tools. The official universe supports multiplayer and the Last Man Standing badge recognizes winning as the final player alive. Those facts establish a multiplayer context, but they do not document party size, shared Cash, shared badge progress, carrying, revives, friendly fire, or difficulty scaling.

Confirm those details through the current lobby and prompts. Build teamwork around actions you can see rather than an invented class system.

Set the squad before the run

Join the official T0pH4t_Studios experience and make sure everyone sees the same difficulty and contract. Choose for the least experienced essential role. Easy is the lowest officially named tier and the right place to test controls or a new plan.

Agree on one voice or chat channel, one rally point, and one return phrase. Confirm whether the game exposes a party interface or simply places players in the same server. A universe maximum of 100 players is a server-cap snapshot, not a recommended squad size.

Read the live debt separately on two clients and compare. Do not assume the balance, inventory, or rewards are shared until conversion proves it.

Assign practical roles

The route caller names the starting area and two reversible anchors. They keep directions independent of camera orientation and procedural seed.

The time watcher monitors the visible sunset cue, timer, or day state. They call an early warning and a final turn-in.

The value tracker announces debt remaining, converted value, and protected reserve. They prevent duplicate shopping and late farming.

The tool runner carries the item tied to the current ore, plank, treasure, box, or camera branch when the live prompt confirms it. In a larger group, split tools by branch; in a small group, combine this role with route or value.

The flex player supports recovery, carries spare capacity, and stays available when an interaction or route fails. Do not name permanent combat classes without game evidence.

Use a two-loop daylight plan

Keep the first loop together and short. Confirm movement, interaction, return anchors, conversion, and how the debt responds. This establishes the group’s baseline and exposes whether rewards are personal or shared.

On the second loop, divide only one branch. Keep both groups inside the same return rule and report each last anchor. Convert value at regroup and compare complete-cycle time rather than boasting about one rare pickup.

If one group consistently returns late, shorten its branch or move its tool to the closer route. Procedural generation makes flexible roles stronger than a copied map assignment.

Coordinate sunset

The official description says the monster begins hunting at sunset. When the time watcher calls the return, stop optional actions. Each player states their last anchor and whether they carry critical value or a required tool.

Regroup at the preselected point only if the route remains safe. If the threat blocks it, use the last verified fallback rather than drawing the entire team across an unknown line.

Current community guides report carrying or reviving teammates and several defensive tools. Treat those as live checks. Practice any assist prompt during daylight before making it the center of the night plan.

Manage shared money carefully

One player announces the credited balance after every sale, upload, bank, or payment action. Others announce what remains unconverted. If a purchase is proposed, name the problem, price shown now, person who will use it, and number of remaining cycles.

The official Independent badge recognizes a win without DarkMarket. Do not assume one player’s shop use leaves another player’s challenge valid. Test group scope on a dedicated run.

When the debt is covered, pay and follow the current objective. Keep enough support for a community-reported later phase until the live game shows what actually happens.

Handle a missing or downed player

Use the current UI to determine whether the player is downed, eliminated, spectating, revivable, carryable, or still active elsewhere. Do not call a revive price or key official without a prompt.

Before approaching, report the threat direction and route. One player assists while another watches time and escape. If the rescue would risk the whole debt and the game offers no safe interaction, preserve the remaining completion path.

Last Man Standing proves a final survivor can win; it does not tell you whether losing teammates keep progress or rewards.

Fix common squad failures

Everybody loots the same container: split nearby activity families after the baseline loop.

Nobody knows the debt: appoint one value tracker and read the credited balance aloud.

Sunset call is ignored: choose one required phrase and turn immediately when it is used.

Tools are duplicated: assign each one a target branch and return it when the branch ends.

Directions collapse: use reversible landmarks, not left/right from a moving camera.

The group raises difficulty too early: return to the tier where every role can complete the loop.

Co-op FAQ

How many players should we use?

No first-party recommended squad size is published. Start with a small group that can share one route language and verify how the current lobby forms parties.

Is Cash shared?

The public API does not say. Compare balances before and after one conversion on multiple clients.

Can I carry or revive teammates?

Current community media reports assist mechanics, but exact controls, costs, and states require current prompts.

Which difficulty is best for friends?

Choose the lowest tier that lets the least experienced player perform their role. Move up after clean repeated completions.
